I'm Still Alive

Hello! I know, it's been awhile. I've written this post probably a dozen times in my head. The hardest part was getting it typed up on a computer. But I've finally done it. :)

I've wondered if I should continue this blog since life seemed too busy to give it any time. However, it's a fun and creative outlet for me so I will definitely be keeping it around, and hopefully posting more often than once every 6+ months! Plus I want to share my experiences as a new parent (and working mom!) and hopefully help others with what I've learned.

Besides baby girl, another thing that makes blogging difficult is that we are in transition. We are building a new house (yay!) and trying to sell our current house (boo!) and living life very minimally with most stuff in storage to keep the house show ready at all times (double boo!). I will be very happy when this process is over.

Halloween is my favorite time of year and now that I have a mini me to dress up, it's even more fun! Here is her first costume. We received this strawberry costume at one of her baby showers and she couldn't be cuter!

I'm hoping the bad weather will stay away so that we can enjoy her first Halloween this weekend! I'm excited about her other costume. I will post pictures next week! :)

It's great to be back!

  1. Her first costume is adorable! I totally get where you're coming from on the busy life vs. blogging thing. It gets tough at times, I hope that one day my blog will be something cool for me to look back on and sort of track my life, that keeps me going sometimes.

Hope you have an awesome first Halloween with the little one!

    1. Thanks Miche! I do like the journal aspect of the blog, especially that I was able to use it to document my pregnancy. I wish I had done better in Madison's early months, but hopefully I will keep it up going forward.

  2. YAYYYYY! I was so happy when I saw this in my inbox. You must be insanely busy, but I'm glad you will keep the blog. It really is a fantastic outlet.

That costume is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Glad to have you back :)
